The Netherlands national rugby team were successful in beating Sweden 24-14 on Saturday, 30th of May. Conditions were excellent in Amsterdam with only some wind to speak off.

Holland Scholarship encourages student mobility
Registration for the Holland Scholarship, the new Dutch scholarship programme, has opened. This programme will enable 768 talented international students annually to study for a bachelor's or master's degree in the Netherlands. In addition, 768 Dutch students will have the opportunity to study, take up an internship or carry out research in a country outside the European Economic Area (EEA) for a minimum of 3 months. The aim of the Holland Scholarship programme is to raise the profile of Dutch higher education and to encourage student mobility both into and out of the Netherlands.

My Father’s Islands is an engaging fictional story, based on Tasman’s journal of his voyages. It is the 1640s and Claesgen lives in Batavia with her stepmother, waiting weeks, and sometimes months, for her father, Abel Tasman, to come back from his sea voyages.
